Sorry for the lack of update! Berry and I have been spending a lot of time together.
I took up cooking lessons and now i make dinner for two of us everyday. The Movie Night on thursday resumed. Although Berry is still busy with his work sometimes, we managed to cherish the time we can be together, and that made me feel truly in love!
I really hope this feeling will go on forever.

Anyone wondered what Chap Goh Mei means? Apparently, it represents the fifteenth and final day of the Lunar New Year period as celebrated by Chinesemigrant communities. The term is from the Hokkien dialect and refers to the fifteenth day of the first month, which is the occasion of the first full moon of the New Year.
Everyone knows it’s the day of Chinese Valentine’s! It is also when young unmarried women gather to toss tangerines into the sea, in a hope that their future spouse will pick it up – a custom that originated in Penang, Malaysia. In the past, this was also the only day that unmarried ladies could be seen with their partners.
I like Chap Goh Mei!! Normally it comes before the western Valentine’s, so we can celebrate Valentine’s day twice! Hehe. Malaysia is such an amazing country.
So Berry and i went to the lake with Hayley and friends. It felt so nostalgic, because that is where we first met. And for a moment I thought I saw Mr Bird flying by and heard him sing a sweet song. Then again it might have just been my giddiness because I was so excited about this whole lovey dovey day thing.
And Berry even came up with an idea that is to throw lemons instead of mandarins. Hahaha!
Lemon wishes everyone Happy Chap Goh Mei. She wishes all the single people would find their true love soon, and all the couple stay lovely and happy in love. 
I just cried watching a video.
Sometimes i think Berry is a good liar, because when he told me he had to meet up a bunch of old school mates for CNY lunch, i believed him and secretly grudged about why he refused to ask me along.
And then, he sent me a video, claming to be an “interesting lunch he had with his old friends”. And I cried watching it, even though the music is very upbeat, cheeky and happy.
Berry went on a road trip (by walking, awww!) along with his entourage (they are really his old school friends so he wasn’t lying!) for one whole day, hoping people could drop him the Ribena caps!!!
I was really really overwhelmed by Berry’s effort as well as the passerbys. I didn’t expect everyone to be so friendly and helpful. And they looked like they really enjoyed the healthy drink and were genuinely sincere in helping Berry with his pledge.
One kid downed the Ribena bottle with glee. And they are all doing it for me!!!

After such a long holiday, berry and I finally have to get back to work. Everything is slowly getting back to normal. The 5pm jam. The office hour. The tv programs. But not the number on my weighing scale.
Berry always do the “we will start jogging NEXT weekend” thing, and then I think when the NEXT weekend comes, I too, deliberately or otherwise, fotgot about it. But i swear we will start doing it THIS weekend!
Anyway, the CNY had been fun! I had a little house party and I invited Hayley and the bunch of girls to come over. And i cleverly served everyone Ribena. So that I can collect the caps for Berry!!! Isn’t that amazing? Plus I made them very happy because those girls were always have this no soft-drink for CNY policy.
Now i have 36 caps!
Oh My God I can’t believe it is February already! The BIG day is coming soon, and I can see that Berry is still secretly working on his mission. He refuses to tell me much about it, so secretive!
But I hope you guys will help him with the Ribena caps. Send in, will you? Will you will you?

I was ready to gain 3KG (a reward to myself. After a hard year). (Ok. that was an excuse). But i gain an extra 0.4KG!!!

I am such a pig. I broke my New Year resolution (but am I still in time to ammend it? Or come up with Chinese New Year resolution. Which is NOT to diet).
I ate way too much. I really should cut down on the sugary soft drinks and Ice creams and cookies and just stay focus with fruits juices and Ribena.
But there’s one thing I am really really proud of. I baked cookies for Berry! It is Lemon cookie.
This is the recipe:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons grated lemon rind
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
5 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
Lemon Icing:
1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
I was holding the read heart thingie because red represents CNY and Heart is for Valentine’s. They are both coming so, have a wonderful festive holiday everyone!

I kinda feel sorry for Berry. He has to work (a lot to rush before the CNY long holiday), and he is working really really hard for the Biggest Purple Heart campaign. So much until he is still making calls middle of the night.
Awesome, right?
But I don’t think i have so much money! maybe just the pillows (ouch, I copy Cheesie! Please don’t sue me!) and purple potpurri, purple glass and purple cutlery set, purple carpet, purple painting, and maybe a purple bedside lamp. Ok minus the lamp. No budget. Maybe the cutlery set. And painting. And carpet.
